Consultation of the COX Media Production facility in San Diego, California began in 2006
with sightline studies using manlifts and a remote controlled helicopter to ensure that
the view into Petco Park would be perfect from the Studio. Work continued with Architectural
Consultation and Building Infrastructure Specification Development.
Full Scale Mock-Ups for each Operational Control Space in the facility were set up at CBT
so that the operational positions could be examined and figured out long before the building
was finished.
In January 2007, CBT Systems provided the Detailed System Design, Integration Management,
Station Relocation and complete Technical System Integration. Using Grass Valley’s Ignite
HD integrated production system with its CameraMan HD robotic camera system; on June 9, 2007
COX produced it’s first live HD Post Game Sports Show.
